SHG Hotel Salute Palace

The SHG Hotel Salute Palace faces a quiet canal in an upscale neighborhood of Dorsoduro, not far from Venice's Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute and the Peggy Guggenheim Collection.

The upmarket boutique hotel has a variety of room categories (including junior suites with canal views). A restaurant, the Bistrò da Cici, is on the premises.

How to reach the SHG Hotel Salute Palace by Alilaguna airport boat:

SHG Hotel Salute Palace from Zattere map

  1. Take Alilaguna's Linea Blu (Blue Line) boat from Venice Marco Polo Airport to the Zattere stop, which is a few minutes beyond San Marco.

  2. As you leave the floating pier, turn right and walk to a stone bridge.

  3. Cross the bridge and keep walking along the waterfront to the next bridge.

  4. Cross this bridge and keep walking to a third bridge. (The pavement will curve left as you walk.)

  5. Cross this third bridge, then immediately turn left onto the Fondamenta Fornace and walk along the canal. Keep walking straight ahead for a couple of minutes until you reach the hotel.

From the San Basilio cruise terminal.

  1. Leave the terminal by the main doors, which are at the end of the building.

  2. Cross the small wooden bridge.

  3. Walk straight ahead along the Giudecca Canal, crossing four bridges. (The walk will take 10 or 15 minutes over level ground.)

  4. Immediately after the fourth bridge, turn left onto the Fondamenta Fornace and walk along the canal. Keep walking for a couple of minutes until you reach the hotel.
