Update: The Bauer Palladio is permanently closed. Although we've removed this page from our indexes, we're keeping the page online for archival purposes.
The Bauer Palladio Hotel & Spa is a five-star luxury hotel in a former convent on the island of Giudecca, facing Venice's historic center and the Piazza San Marco.

The hotel has 79 rooms and suites, extensive gardens, an indoor-outdoor restaurant, and a large private spa with views of the San Marco waterfront. A free shuttle boat connects the Bauer Palladio with the Bauer Palazzo, a sister property near St. Mark's Square.

To reach the Bauer Palladio Hotel & Spa from Venice Marco Polo Airport, take the Alilaguna Linea Rossa or Red Line boat to the end of the line at Giudecca Zitelle. (Linea Rossa odon't run during the winter months, but water taxis and ACTV vaporetto service to Zitelle operate year-round.)

How to reach the Bauer Palladio from the Zitelle waterbus stop:

  1. Step off the airport boat or vaporetto and bear left as you leave the pier.

  2. Look for the Bauer Palladio Hotel & Spa entrance, which is in the large white building surrounding the Zitelle church.
