Hotel Antiche Figure, Venice

The Hotel Antiche Figure is one of the top three-star hotels near Santa Lucia Railroad Station.

The Antiche Figure looks out on the Grand Canal and the station, and it's a great choice if you don't mind hauling your bag over the Scalzi Bridge.

How to reach the Hotel Antiche Figure from the train station:

Hotel Antiche Figure map directions

  1. Leave the station by main doors--or by the easy-to-miss side exit near Track 1, which will let you roll your suitcase down a gentle incline instead of bumping it down a marble staircase.

  2. Turn left and walk a short distance to the Scalzi Bridge, which crosses the Grand Canal.

  3. Go over the bridge and turn right onto the fondamenta or waterfront sidewalk.

  4. Walk past the domed church. The Hotel Antiche Figure is just beyond.

From airport buses and taxis in the Piazzale Roma:

  1. Walk to the tree-lined side of the Piazzale Roma where a red-and-white crosswalk from the central bus area feeds into a sidewalk through the trees.

  2. Go through the trees, past the vendor stands, to a low stone bridge.

  3. Cross the bridge. On the other side of the canal, turn left and walk along the fondamenta or sidewalk by the park.

  4. When you reach the corner, continue around to the right.

  5. Beyond the park, you'll reach a second small bridge. Cross it.

  6. Walk along the water past the Hotel Airone and the Carlton on the Grand Canal to the Hotel Antiche Figure.

From the Marittima cruise terminals:

  1. Take a free shuttle bus (if available), a taxi, or the People Mover elevated tramway to the Piazzale Roma. (The People Mover's glass-enclosed station is just beyond the port gates.)

  2. Follow our directions from Piazzale Roma.
